Ingredients

1 medium head of cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets

1 cup of all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour for a gluten-free option)

1 cup of breadcrumbs (panko works great for extra crunch)

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

2 tablespoons olive oil or cooking spray

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Prep the Cauliflower: Start by washing and drying the cauliflower. Cut it into florets, making sure they are similar in size for even cooking.

Set Up Dredging Station: In one bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. In a second bowl, whisk the eggs until smooth. In a third bowl, add the breadcrumbs.

Coat the Cauliflower: Dip each cauliflower floret first into the flour mixture, ensuring it’s coated evenly. Shake off any excess flour, then dip it into the beaten eggs, and finally coat it with the breadcrumbs. Press the breadcrumbs onto the florets gently to ensure they stick well.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.

Arrange in Air Fryer: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or toss the coated florets in olive oil. Place the cauliflower florets in a single layer in the basket, making sure not to overcrowd them. You may need to fry them in batches depending on your air fryer size.

Air Fry: Cook the cauliflower at 375°F (190°C) for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. The cauliflower should be golden brown and crispy when done.

Serve: Once cooked, remove the crispy cauliflower from the air fryer and transfer it to a serving platter. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for an extra zing.
