8 oz (225 g) penne pasta

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded (rotisserie chicken works well)

2 cups heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)

1/4 tsp black pepper

1 cup broccoli florets (optional for added veggies)

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (for topping)

2 tbsp olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).

    Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions, but reduce the cooking time by about 1-2 minutes so the pasta is al dente. Drain and set aside.

      Prepare the Alfredo Sauce: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add the heavy cream and minced garlic. Stir occasionally until it starts to come to a gentle simmer. Lower the heat and stir in 3/4 cup of Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Keep stirring until the cheese melts and the sauce becomes creamy, about 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat.

        Mix the Bake: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, shredded chicken, optional broccoli florets, and the creamy Alfredo sauce. Stir until everything is well-coated.

          Layer the Cheese: In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, pour half of the pasta mixture. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese on top. Add the remaining pasta mixture and top with the rest of the mozzarella and remaining 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese.
