Ingredients

2 large sweet potatoes

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon granulated sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Optional: 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper for a spicy kick

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Sweet Potatoes: Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into fries, about 1/4 inch thick. Try to make them as uniform as possible for even cooking.

Season the Fries: In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, sugar, cinnamon, sea salt, and cayenne pepper (if using). Add the sweet potato fries to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the mixture.

Arrange on Baking Sheet: Spread the seasoned fries out in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Ensure they are not overcrowded to allow for proper roasting.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping the fries halfway through to promote even browning. They should be crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

Cool and Serve: Once baked, remove the sweet potato fries from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. This will help them crisp up even more. Serve warm as a delicious snack or side dish!
