8 oz (about 225 g) pasta (penne or rotini work well)

1 lb (450 g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced

2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)

1 tablespoon olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 medium onion, finely chopped

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a bit of heat)

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese (plus extra for serving)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

    Sauté the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced chicken breasts, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken is browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

      Sauté the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant.
