1 cup sour cream

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1 cup fresh cilantro leaves, tightly packed

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

Zest of 1 lime

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1/2 teaspoon sea salt (adjust to taste)

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Optional: 1 jalapeño, seeded and chopped (for a spicy kick)

Instructions

In a blender or food processor, combine the sour cream, mayonnaise, cilantro leaves, minced garlic, lime juice, lime zest, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper.

If you prefer a spicy version, add the chopped jalapeño into the mixture.

Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Scrape down the sides as needed to ensure everything is well incorporated.

Taste and adjust seasoning as needed, adding more salt or lime juice to suit your preference.

Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
