Ingredients

6 small corn tortillas

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Optional: lime wedges & fresh cilantro for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Tortillas: Start by gently warming the corn tortillas. You can do this in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side, just until pliable. This will help prevent them from cracking when shaped.

Shape the Shells: Take a metal taco shell mold or simply fold each tortilla in half, placing it in the air fryer basket. If using a mold, make sure the tortillas are pressed against the sides for even cooking.

Season the Oil: In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and smoked paprika to create a flavorful seasoning oil.

Brush the Tortillas: Lightly brush the tortilla shells with the seasoning oil mixture, ensuring that they are evenly coated. This will help make them crispy when air-fried.

Air Frying: Preheat an air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Once hot, place the tortilla shells in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry for about 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.

Cooling and Serving: Once cooked, let the taco shells cool for a couple of minutes to firm up. Serve them warm with your choice of fillings such as seasoned meat, beans, cheese, and top with fresh cilantro and lime wedges on the side.
