Ingredients

1 jar (16 oz) dill pickle slices (or spears, your preference)

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional, for a smoky kick)

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon salt

Cooking spray or olive oil mister

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Pickles: Drain the dill pickle slices thoroughly and pat them dry with paper towels. This step is crucial to ensure crispiness, as excess moisture can lead to sogginess.

      Set Up Breading Station:

        - In three separate bowls, prepare your coating process:

          - Bowl 1: Place the all-purpose flour.

            - Bowl 2: Whisk together the eggs until well combined.

              - Bowl 3: Mix together breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt.

                Bread the Pickles:

                  - Take one pickle slice, dredge it in the flour, ensuring it is fully coated and shake off any excess.

                    - Dip the floured pickle into the beaten eggs, allowing the excess egg to drip off.

                      - Finally, coat the pickle slice in the seasoned breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure the crumbs adhere well. Repeat until all pickles are breaded.

Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the breaded pickle chips on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer. Make sure they are not crowded; this allows for even baking and crispiness. Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray or mist with olive oil for added crunch.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, flipping the pickle chips halfway through the cooking time for even browning.

Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch dressing, spicy mayo, or even a tangy mustard.
