Ingredients

4 ripe bananas

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 tablespoon coconut oil (or vegetable oil)

1/2 cup crushed nuts (almonds, walnuts, or peanuts)

1/2 cup shredded coconut (unsweetened)

Popsicle sticks

Instructions

Prepare the Bananas: Peel the ripe bananas and cut each banana in half. Insert a popsicle stick into each half and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Freeze the banana pops for at least 1 hour until they are solid.

Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.

Coat the Bananas: Remove the frozen banana pops from the freezer. Dip each banana pop into the melted chocolate, ensuring it's fully coated. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off.

Add Toppings: Immediately roll or sprinkle the chocolate-coated bananas in your choice of toppings: crushed nuts, shredded coconut, or both, ensuring even coverage.

Final Freeze: Place the coated pops back on the parchment-lined baking sheet and return them to the freezer for another 1 to 2 hours or until the chocolate has fully set.

Serve and Enjoy: Remove the pops from the freezer about 5 minutes before serving to allow them to soften slightly. Enjoy your delightful frozen treats!
