Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, melt the butter in the microwave or a small saucepan. Add the minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.

Marinate the Shrimp: Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the bowl with the garlic butter mixture. Toss gently until the shrimp are well coated. Let them marinate for about 20-30 minutes in the refrigerator to soak up all the flavors.

Preheat Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F). If you’re using skewers, soak wooden skewers in water for around 15 minutes before grilling, to prevent burning.

Skewer the Shrimp: If using skewers, thread the marinated shrimp onto the skewers, piercing them through the tail and head to secure them. Leave a bit of space between each shrimp for even cooking.

Grill the Shrimp: Place the skewered shrimp (or individual shrimp if using a grill basket) on the preheated grill. Cook for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until the shrimp turn opaque and are slightly charred, being careful not to overcook them.

Garnish and Serve: Once cooked, remove the shrimp from the grill and transfer them to a serving platter. Drizzle any remaining garlic butter from the bowl over the shrimp and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve with lemon wedges for an extra burst of flavor.
