Garlic Herb Chicken and Green Bean Sheet Pan

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 lemon, zested and juiced

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a bit of heat)

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

    Marinate the Chicken: In a large bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, fresh rosemary, thyme, oregano, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken breasts, making sure they are well-coated in the herb mixture. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator for deeper flavor.

      Prepare the Green Beans: On a large sheet pan, place the trimmed green beans. Drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Toss to coat evenly.

        Arrange on Sheet Pan: After marinating, remove the chicken from the bowl and place the chicken breasts on the sheet pan among the green beans. Make sure to spread them out for even cooking.

          Bake: Place the sheet pan in the preheated oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) and the green beans are tender but still crisp.
