Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for spice preference)

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Salt and pepper to taste

8 bamboo skewers (soaked in water for 30 minutes)

Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.

Marinate the Shrimp: Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the bowl with the marinade. Toss gently to coat the shrimp in the garlic butter mixture. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes (up to 1 hour for more flavor).

Preheat the Grill: Heat your grill to medium-high. If using a grill pan, preheat it over medium-high heat.

Skewer the Shrimp: Thread the marinated shrimp onto the soaked bamboo skewers, leaving a bit of space between each shrimp for even cooking.

Grill the Shrimp: Place the shrimp skewers on the hot grill. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Do not overcook, as shrimp can become rubbery.

Baste with Marinade: During the last minute of grilling, brush the shrimp with any remaining garlic butter marinade to enhance the flavor.

Garnish and Serve: Once done, remove the skewers from the grill and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve the skewers hot with lemon wedges on the side for an extra burst of flavor.
