Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

6 slices of bacon, cut into pieces

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 bell pepper, diced (any color)

1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained

1 cup beef broth

2 cups elbow macaroni (or pasta of choice)

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: chopped green onions and pickles for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the Bacon: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon pieces until crispy. Once cooked, remove the bacon and set it aside on a paper towel to drain, leaving the grease in the skillet.

Sauté Vegetables: In the same skillet with bacon grease, add the diced onion, minced garlic, and bell pepper. Sauté until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.

Brown the Beef: Add the ground beef to the skillet with the vegetables. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.

Mix Ingredients: Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, diced tomatoes (with their juice), beef broth, and uncooked elbow macaroni. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Combine Cheeses: Add 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and half of the cooked bacon to the mixture. Stir until well combined.

Transfer to Baking Dish: Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.

Top with Cheese & Bacon: Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, and the rest of the cooked bacon over the top.

Bake: Cover with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.

Garnish and Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions and pickles if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
