Mini Chicken Pesto Crescent Melts

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 cup cooked chicken, shredded or diced

1/2 cup basil pesto

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped (optional)

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Fresh basil leaves (for garnish, optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Prepare the Filling: In a medium bowl, combine the shredded chicken, basil pesto, mozzarella cheese, sun-dried tomatoes (if using), garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
