One-Pan Cheesy Chicken and Broccoli Bake

Ingredients
  

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced

4 cups fresh broccoli florets

1 cup uncooked rice (white or brown)

2 ½ cups chicken broth

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried thyme

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

    In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, fresh broccoli florets, and uncooked rice.

      In another bowl, mix together the chicken broth, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes until well combined. This will create a creamy sauce.

        Pour the creamy mixture over the chicken, broccoli, and rice mixture. Stir well to ensure everything is evenly coated.

          Transfer the entire mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.

            Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.

              After 30 minutes, remove from the oven and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese and grated Parmesan cheese on top of the casserole.

                Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and the dish is heated through.

                  Once done, take out of the oven and let it sit for 5 minutes.

                    Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
