Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (skin on)

1 bunch of fresh asparagus, trimmed

1/4 cup honey

3 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium recommended)

2 tablespoons minced garlic (about 6 cloves)

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional for extra flavor)

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

Fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, and sesame oil until well combined.

Season the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a large mixing bowl or a shallow dish. Pour half of the honey garlic mixture over the salmon, ensuring they are well coated. Let marinate for about 15 minutes for enhanced flavor.

Arrange the Asparagus: While the salmon marinates, prepare a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place the trimmed asparagus on one side of the sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.

Add Salmon to the Baking Sheet: After marinating, remove the salmon from the bowl and arrange the fillets on the baking sheet alongside the asparagus. Brush the remaining honey garlic mixture over the salmon fillets.

Bake: Transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork, and the asparagus is tender-crisp.

Garnish: Once baked, remove from the oven and sprinkle the salmon and asparagus with sesame seeds and fresh herbs for added flavor and presentation.

Serve: Plate the salmon and asparagus together, drizzling leftover juices from the pan over the top for extra flavor. Enjoy your delicious and healthy one-pan dish!
