Ingredients

8 chicken drumsticks

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

2 teaspoons garlic powder

2 teaspoons onion powder

2 teaspoons dried oregano

2 teaspoons dried basil

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)

1/4 cup olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.

Prepare the Coating: In a medium bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, basil, black pepper, salt, and paprika (if using). Mix well until everything is evenly combined.

Prep the Chicken: Pat the chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels. This will help the coating stick better.

Coat the Drumsticks: Place the olive oil in a shallow dish. Dip each drumstick in the olive oil, making sure it’s evenly coated. Then, roll the drumsticks in the Parmesan herb mixture, pressing lightly to ensure the coating adheres well. Make sure each drumstick is well-covered with the mixture.

Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the coated drumsticks on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them out evenly to ensure even cooking.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 35-40 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is golden brown and crispy. You can check for doneness by ensuring the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (75°C).

Garnish and Serve: Once baked, remove the drumsticks from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Enjoy: Serve the Parmesan Herb Baked Chicken Drumsticks with your favorite dipping sauce or alongside a fresh salad for a delightful meal!
