Ingredients

8 oz fettuccine or linguine pasta

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Optional: red pepper flakes (for a kick)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine or linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.

Sauté the Shrimp: In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set them aside.

Make the Alfredo Sauce: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Slowly pour in the heavy cream, stirring continuously. Bring to a gentle simmer.

Add Cheese: Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until it melts and the sauce is creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.

Combine Pasta and Shrimp: Add the cooked pasta back into the skillet, along with the sautéed shrimp. Toss everything together until the pasta is well coated with the creamy Alfredo sauce.

Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and sprinkle with optional red pepper flakes for an extra kick. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious Quick Shrimp Alfredo Pasta!
