1 lb (450g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 red bell pepper, sliced into strips

1 cup broccoli florets

1 cup snap peas

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced

2 green onions, chopped

Cooked jasmine rice or quinoa, for serving

Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions
 

Marinate the Beef: In a medium bowl, combine the thinly sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well, cover, and let marinate for at least 15 minutes (or up to 1 hour in the fridge for deeper flavor).

    Prep the Veggies: While the beef is marinating, prepare the vegetables. Slice the bell pepper, cut the broccoli into florets, and trim the snap peas. Set aside.

      Heat the Oil: In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

        Cook the Beef: Once the oil is hot, add the marinated beef, spreading it out in a single layer. Sear for about 2-3 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

          Stir-Fry the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the garlic and ginger, and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the sliced bell pepper, broccoli, and snap peas. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender yet crisp.

            Combine and Finish: Return the beef to the skillet and toss to combine with the vegetables. Cook together for an additional minute, allowing the flavors to meld. Add chopped green onions towards the end of cooking.

              Serve: Serve the beef and vegetable stir-fry over a bed of cooked jasmine rice or quinoa. Garnish with sesame seeds for added texture and flavor.
