8 oz mixed mushrooms (cremini, shiitake, and button), sliced

2 tbsp olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp fresh thyme leaves (or 1/2 tsp dried thyme)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

4 slices of crusty bread (such as sourdough or baguette)

8 oz Brie cheese, rind removed and sliced

2 tbsp balsamic glaze (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Sauté the Mushrooms: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are golden brown and tender.

    Add Garlic and Thyme: Stir in the minced garlic and thyme. Sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Remove from heat and set aside.

      Preheat the Broiler: Set your oven’s broiler to high to preheat while you prepare the toasts.
