Instructions

Prepare the Pork: Rub the pork shoulder with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using). Ensure the spices cover the meat evenly.

Cook the Pork: Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Pour in the barbecue sauce and chicken broth. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or until the pork is fork-tender.

Shred the Pork: Once cooked, carefully remove the pork from the slow cooker and place it on a cutting board. Shred the pork using two forks, discarding excess fat and bone.

Mix the Pulled Pork with Sauce: Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker, mixing it with the remaining sauce to keep it moist. Let it warm up for about 20 more minutes.

Prepare the Slaw: In a large bowl, combine the shredded green cabbage, red cabbage, and grated carrot. In a separate smaller bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper. Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss to combine thoroughly. Allow it to sit for at least 10 minutes for flavors to meld.

Assemble the Sliders: Slice the slider buns in half. Load the bottom half with a generous portion of the pulled pork, followed by a scoop of the slaw. If desired, add pickles and more barbecue sauce.

Serve & Enjoy: Place the top half of the bun over the slaw and pork mixture, and serve your delicious sliders warm.
