Ingredients

For the Tuna Tacos:

2 fresh tuna steaks (about 6 oz each)

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

4 corn tortillas

1 ripe avocado, sliced

Fresh cilantro for garnish

For the Strawberry Slaw:

1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and thinly sliced

2 cups green cabbage, finely shredded

1 small red onion, thinly sliced

1 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon lime juice

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Prepare the Strawberry Slaw:

In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced strawberries, shredded cabbage, and red onion. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the honey, apple cider vinegar, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Pour this dressing over the slaw, mix well, and let it sit for 15-20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

      Cook the Tuna:

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the tuna steaks with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Once the oil is hot, add the tuna steaks. Sear each side for about 2-3 minutes for medium-rare (cook longer for desired doneness). Remove from the pan and let rest for a few moments.

          Warm the Tortillas:

In the same skillet, warm the corn tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side until soft and pliable.

              Assemble the Tacos:

Slice the cooked tuna into thin strips. Layer a few strips of tuna in each warm tortilla. Top generously with the strawberry slaw, add avocado slices, and sprinkle with fresh cilantro for garnish.

                  Serve:

Serve the tacos immediately with lime wedges on the side for an extra zesty kick. Enjoy!
