Ingredients

1 ripe mango, peeled and diced

1 ripe avocado, peeled and diced

1 small red onion, finely chopped

1 medium jalapeño pepper, seeded and minced (adjust heat to preference)

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Juice of 1 lime

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin for an added depth of flavor

Optional: Tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced mango and diced avocado. Gently toss to avoid mashing the avocado.

Add the finely chopped red onion, minced jalapeño, and chopped cilantro to the bowl. Stir carefully to mix all the ingredients.

Squeeze the fresh lime juice over the mixture and season with salt and pepper to taste. If using ground cumin, add it now.

Gently fold the ingredients until everything is evenly distributed and coated in lime juice.

Let the salsa sit for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to combine and develop.

Serve immediately with tortilla chips or as a refreshing topping on grilled chicken or fish.
